Very solid tripod with adjustable gimble. Pretty happy with this item. I can say holding in you hand folded up gives you a sense of the construction as it has some weight to it. When comparing to other tripods from a few other scanner companiesI can tell you this one has them beat alone with the wide foot print it has and should you need even wider you can extend the legs which in my opinion is a big deal as I would have issues with other tripods tipping over. The tripod is mostly made of metal and has pretty nice rubber feet for helping on slick surfaces. I think as long as you take care of, this one should be in your bag for a lifetime with no issues. This is my second one. I wanted to have one in each scanner setup I have so I wouldn’t forget if I didn’t take same scanner. I value my money and I always try to do my research so not to buy a product that doesn't deliver on its promise. So I’m happy to say this one exceeded. Thank you

Amazingly built.

When I saw the tripod online I thought that it would have parts of it that were plastic, but actually the entire thing is made of metal! All the knobs, and little locking pieces are all metal. This thing is very sturdily built. It has a ton of adjustability and it's got three telescoping legs with click locks.

I know use my Vega by holding the tripod like a handle, this is infinitely more comfortable. The Vega and the tripod together are all built from aluminum which is pretty nuts. It feels really expensive and high quality.

Definitely recommended.
