3d scanner for dummies

This is incredible! I am a noob to 3d everything, I just plugged it in, installed software, calibrated, and bam it works immediately first time!!! Didnt even read the instructions. Still haven't since YouTube is such a great resource and software is straight forward enough.

Note: when calibrating don't have it say "done" between calibrations when you still need to calibrate white. with adhd I put it away multiple times cause it says done just to pull it out again for white board calibration.

This is by far and away the best scanner for the price

I'll start by saying I've owned several 3D scanners in the 1000$USD price range (Revopoint Range 2 for example), and the quality, and performance on this scanner dwarfs all the other ones. Doesn't lose tracking nearly as much; the hardware is where it really shines. As a quick example for reference, the Revopoint relies exclusively on USB power, whereas the Einstar relies on a proper power outlet.

Don't waste your time on anything else.
BUT BE WARNED: You will NEED a beefy computer to run, and utilize its full capacity.

Cool scanner

Accurate enough for most light weight applications, reverse engineering made easy. I like the functionality, my only rral complaint is the very specifics system requirements. I get needing a certain amount of power but I don’t like having my CPU brand dictated. Why isn’t there support for AMD processors? For that matter why not apple support? Really bottlenecking the potential users and uses for this device.

Amazing quality, a must for hobbiests

I purchased a Revopoint Pop2 as an entry level scanner for some basic hobbiest type projects. I found it to be slow, unstable, time-consuming to use .. not to mention it took over 2 months to arrive. It was not up to the task for the basic projects I was doing.

Enter the Einstar:
This scanner was an absolute game-changer for me. The scanner is incredible, and the software very intuitive.
I was able to complete and post-process the exact same scan as I used the Revopoint POP2 in a fraction of the time, with minimal hassle, and about 1/10th of the marker required.

The Einstar is a fantastic tool for hobbies and enthusiasts. It has great features and scanning abilities similar to high-end scanners for a fraction of the price.

Highly recommend to others.

Check out "Making for Motorsport" on YouTube for a great comprehensive comparison of similarly priced scanners ... and watch Einstar beat them all.
